A great adventure awaits me as I soar miles above tiny Caribbean islands and high above the clouds into glorious, luminous streams of cotton candy pink and lavender rays from the sunset. I am on my way to Liberia, Costa Rica to catch a bus and live in the middle of a small village for ten days. I will have to do without the many comforts of home, such as; a hot shower, air conditioning, personal space and all forms of technology. I will eat beans and rice for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I will wake up at the crack of dawn. I will be wearing sweat-drenched t-shirts, and so I'm told- I will reek. I will wake up to insects crawling above my head and despicable, fat toads at my feet. I will be 2,000 miles away from my comfort zone. I must be crazy... crazy in love with Jesus Christ!
